JAPAN: Finally, the wait is over! Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is set to debut in just one month, and soon its creators will reveal the precise release date. The excitement among Bleach fans has skyrocketed since the announcement of the action-supernatural anime sequel.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will mark its return after a decade

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is a sequel to Bleach (2004-2012) which is based on Tite Kubo’s manga of the same name. The manga series was first published in 2004 and garnered 74 volumes before it completed its run in 2016.

Studio Pierrot adapted this anime under the directorial vision of Noriyuki Abe, which first aired on October 5, 2004, and completed its run on March 7, 2012. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is based on the manga’s final arc, which will cover volumes 55 to 74. The adventure-supernatural anime is all set to be released on October 2022, which marks the return of the series after 10 years.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will debut next month, but the studio hasn’t released the exact release date. However, the precise release date will arrive soon as the anime’s release is only one month away.

In August 2022, the makers unveiled the members joining the team, which includes Daiki Yamashita as Ryūnosuke Yuki, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as As Nodt, Hideyuki Tanaka as BG9, Asami Seto as Shino Madarame, Kōichi Yamadera as Quilge Opie, Nobuaki Kanemitsu as Driscoll Berci, Takaya Hashi as Robert Accutrone, Tomoaki Maeno as NaNaNa Najahkoop and Yasuhiro Mamiya as Mask De Masculine. 

The show will also mark the return of original ensemble cast which includes Masakazu Morita as Ichigo Kurosaki, Fumiko Orikasa as Rukia Kuchiki, Yuki Matsuoka as Orihime Inoue, Kentaro Ito as Renji Abarai, Noriaki Sugiyama as Uryū Ishida, Hiroki Yasumoto as Yasutora Sado, Satsuki Yukino as Yoruichi Shihōin, Shinichiro Miki as Kisuke Urahara and many more.

Tomohisa Taguchi will direct Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, while he also penned the story along with Masaki Hiramatsu. Studio Pierrot has also returned to bankroll the anime series. Shiro Sagisu will provide the music for the adventure-supernatural series. 

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will air on TV Tokyo in Japan. The anime will also premier the first two episodes as an advance screening on September 11 in Tokyo.
