SOUTH KOREA: BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim, popularly known as Jennie, a South Korean singer and fashion icon, turns 27 today.

Jennie celebrates her birthday live on stage

The most popular K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, is currently on their world tour, ‘Born Pink,’ and the birthday girl celebrated the special day live on stage while performing in Hong Kong.

The K-pop singer took to Instagram to share moments from her birthday celebration. In the glimpse, the ‘solo’ singer can be seen looking stunning in a pink fluffy mini dress and blowing out the candles on a pristinely decorated three-tier cake.

Fans also posted clips of Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose from BLACKPINK performing birthday songs on stage.

Other members of BLACKPINK, Lisa, Rose, and Jisso, also took to Instagram to wish the 27-year-old singer a happy birthday.

The K-pop singer also shared some pictures of her birthday celebration from her hotel room, thanking her fans. In the photo, the rapper can be seen sitting adorable in a baby pink bunny dress.

Former Girls’ Generation members Jessica and Jennie’s friendship appears to be still going strong. On the evening of January 15, Jessica shared via Instagram Stories that she had gone to the Born Pink concert by BLACKPINK in Hong Kong to support Jennie.

Sharing a video of Jennie’s solo performance, Jessica tagged Jennie with the caption, “My nini baby.”

On January 20, BLACKPINK will head to Riyadh for their next performance after wrapping up their Hong Kong concert schedule.

The ‘Boombayah’ singer was rumoured to be dating BTS member Kim Tae-hyung, a.k.a. V, after pictures of them surfaced online and went viral. Both HYBE and YG declined to comment on the rumours.

On the professional front, Jennie is all set to make her acting debut with the television show ‘The Idol.’ The film, which will premiere on HBO some time in 2023. It will also star The Weekend and Lily-Rose Depp.
