UNITED STATES: The Dwayne Johnson-starrer Black Adam is the only DC film to be released this year. The high-octane anti-hero film is nearing its release date, and in order to build the hype among fans, the makers dropped a new clip. Surprisingly, the latest video erases Joss Whedon’s Justice League, which has now grabbed the attention of many viewers.

Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson, bagged a corrected teaser

Dwayne Johnson uploaded the latest clip on Twitter. The WWE star tweeted, “Corrected. Long before the world of heroes and villans, #BlackAdam ruled it all. A god with zero mercy and power born from rage. The #ManInBlack hits theaters worldwide…ONE MONTH FROM TODAY. OCTOBER 21 @SevenBucksProd @DCComics @wbpictures.”

The Black Adam corrected teaser begins with visuals from previous DC films such as Batman v Superman, Aquaman, and Birds of Prey. However, the clip does not include Joss Whedon’s Justice League. Steppenwolf appeared in an earlier version of the teaser, but the corrected version subtracts him from the video.

The first teaser included Steppenwolf footage from the 2017 Justice League film, raising concerns about the Snyder Cut. The corrected version has now completely removed the character from the teaser, which may have hinted that Zack Snyder’s Justice League would be canon in the DC Extended Universe.

Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are also featured in the latest Black Adam teaser. The video depicts a close-up shot of Man of Steel without revealing his face, and it does not explicitly state that Henry Cavill is playing the role. However, given Ben Affleck’s return as Batman, Cavill is expected to appear in a cameo role in the upcoming film.

In addition to the teaser reveal, Dwayne Johnson also uploaded a poster on Twitter. The Black Adam star tweeted, “THE TIME OF HEROES IS OVER. In one month. The new era of the DC Universe begins #ManInBlack #JSA #ThroneEnergy #BlackAdam Only in theaters OCT 21st.”

The video’s highlight was the Justice Society of America, which included Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone. Sabbac, who is expected to be the film’s main villain, is also teased in a brief glimpse.
