According to reports, Gnanavel Raja said that he had obtained the remake rights to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and believes it is a good story to be told in Tamil Cinema with a fresh twist. Reports claim that the producer also stated that he is still finalising the cast and staff.

Raja is popular for producing blockbuster movies like Paruthiveeran (2007), Singam (2010), later remade in Hindi as Singham in 2011, Naan Mahaan Alla (2010), Siruthai (2011), and Madras (2014).

The Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) was a remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993). Now, the second instalment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is an original film that will have a remake.

The pun and humour in the film make it a perfect light-hearted horror-comedy movie. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is known as the survival film of Bollywood as the industry has been struggling to do business in recent times.

The interesting love story of Kartik and Kiara takes many twists and turns alongside the horror flick that brings new flavours to the screen. The cherry on top is the songs from the movie, which received the same amount of love and response.

Keeping aside the Tamil remake in the works, the Hindi version of the horror comedy is also set for a third part in the series.
