INDIA: As the forthcoming film in his directorial resume, Bholaa marks Ajay Devgn’s fourth time working behind the camera. The well-known Bollywood actor has already helmed movies, including Runway 34 (20220), Shivaay (2016), and U Me Aur Hum (2008). The success of Ajay’s directorial vision in Shivaay and Runway 34 lays the path for another quality movie in his repertoire.

Bholaa is a remake of Kaithi, a 2019 Tamil hit. Lokesh Kanagaraj served as the director’s chair for the blockbuster film while starring Karthi in the lead. The Tamil film evolved as an action thriller centred on the crux of one night, which focuses on the story of Dilli, a former convict who is keen to meet his daughter for the first time after coming out of prison. Still, his story swiftly unravels when he becomes entangled in a drug raid plan.

Ajay Devgn made the news official via his social media handle

Ajay Devgn announced the release date of Bholaa via his Twitter handle. The actor shared a photo of himself operating a camera while perched on the director’s chair. The post was captioned with, “It’s time to say ACTION again! Bholaa releasing on March 30, 2023.”

The movie was originally going to be directed by Dharmendra Sharma, but it has now been announced that Ajay will take the reins. The actor-director has an intense tendency to multitask when acting and directing. His sense of direction is particularly evident in the recently released Runway 34. Although the movie struggled financially following its theatrical lease, many viewers praised Ajay’s direction. More intriguingly, the camera angles can be seen as the apex of Runway 34’s cinematography.

Tabu also joins in the lead opposite Ajay Devgn

In addition to Ajay, Tabu will join as the lead opposite him. This represents a creative lead that suggests a different rendition because the original Tamil film did not feature a female antagonist. The two actors have appeared together in numerous movies, including “Vijaypath,” “De De Pyaar De,” “Drishyam,” and “Drishyam 2.”

In addition to the remake, the actor has numerous new movies to develop his repertoire. Ajay’s upcoming features in Bollywood include Drishyam 2, Thank God by Indra Kumar, and Cirkus, a multi-starrer scheduled to enter theatres on December 23, 2022, which marks the unique appearance of the actor.
