UNITED STATES: When Blue Ivy Carter joined her mom, Beyoncé, up on the stage at the Paris stop of the Renaissance World Tour on Friday, she seemed to be the star that emitted power and integrity. Grandma Tina Knowles-Lawson posted a video of her granddaughter’s poignant event on Instagram with pride. As Beyoncé sings “My Power” in the video, Blue Ivy dances dominantly in the foreground.
Grandma Knowles-Lawson says, “Last night I saw my beautiful grandbaby (11) dance in front of almost 70 thousand people,” adding, “She killed it and was as cool as a cucumber! Blue Ivy Carter, No Fear.”
Beyoncé’s mother also revealed that her granddaughter danced along to “Black Parade” in a later video. For both performances, the 11-year-old wore an iridescent sequin top and silver pants to match her mother and the other dancers. Blue Ivy raised her fist in the air as the crowd chanted her name after she refined the choreography.
Blue Ivy has appeared onstage with Beyoncé before. During the “Break My Soul” singer’s set at the brand-new Atlantis The Royal Resort in Dubai in January, the mother-daughter team gave a duet rendition of “Brown Skin Girl.” Videos from the event captured Beyoncé stroking her daughter’s braids and grinning as they sang together.
Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s three children, Blue Ivy is the oldest. Rumi and Sir, the twins who will turn 5 soon, are also part of the couple. The big sister of the twins is already a rising star, even though the twins have so far remained out of the public eye.
