JAPAN: Beastars, a critically acclaimed anime series, is a fan favourite among many viewers. Since the conclusion of Season Two, fans have been anticipating the arrival of Season Three, and the wait is finally over. The Final Season of Beastars bagged a release date.
The Drama-fantasy series is based on the manga series by Paru Itagaki (writer and illustrator). Following the unique take on a modern world filled with civilised animals, the manga became extremely popular among readers. The series is heavily focused on the coexistence of carnivores and herbivores. The show received numerous awards due to its unique concept.
Beastars final season is arriving on Netflix
The official website of Beastars unveiled the announcement of the Final Season. Netflix Anime also shared an update regarding the upcoming season on Twitter. The streaming giant tweeted,” it’s official: BEASTARS Final Season will stream in 2024!”
Beastars Season Three will be released in 2024. The drama-fantasy series will be available to stream on Netflix. In addition to the release year, the makers have not revealed the exact date on which the upcoming season will make its debut.
The anime also bagged a new key visual for the upcoming season along with the release date. The poster stars Legoshi in an attacking posture. The key visual reads, “BEASTARS FINAL SEASON Anime distribution starts in 2024.”
The season one and two production team will continue their work for the upcoming instalment. Shinichi Matsumi will also return to direct the anime series, and Nanami Higuchi will handle the screenplay. Studio Orange will bankroll the drama-fantasy show scheduled for release in 2024.
The Beastars manga series was first published in September 2016; it spanned up to twenty-two volumes before completing its run in October 2020. Studio Orange adapted the manga into an anime series in 2014. Season One consisted of twelve episodes and was released in 2019 in Japan, while outside of Asia, it was released in 2020. Season Two was also released in 2021, which also included twelve episodes.
Beastars Season Three will be the series’ final season. Both seasons have so far covered eleven volumes, so there is plenty of material to adapt for the next instalment. Accordingly, it is assumed that the upcoming season may include more than twelve episodes.
