INDIA: Foldable smartphones allow users to fold out their large screens for a better viewing experience before stowing them away on a smaller display.
Consider the use of technology in laptops, particularly with what ASUS is currently offering with their recently unveiled Zenbook Fold, which has a folding screen that also functions as a laptop.
ASUS Zenbook 17-Fold specifications
Imagine a tablet with specifications derived from computer parts, with its performance and power based on established laptop benchmarks and capabilities. Imagine that this 17-inch tablet can fold in the middle to form a 12.5-inch notebook with a detachable keyboard that can be used for any purpose.
It might not be easy to imagine, but this is the brand-new ASUS Zenbook Fold, a computer with a huge foldable screen that can be as large as 17.3 inches.
Through the IFA 2022 virtual launch, ASUS unveiled the new Zenbook Fold OLED earlier today, introducing the new foldable laptop from its development.
The device’s specifications are impressive, particularly the OLED screen’s 4:3, 2.5K touchscreen and 180-degree hinge. It has two 12.5-inch displays with 1920x1280p screens and a 3:2 aspect ratio in addition to its 17.3-inch screen when completely expanded.
The Zenbook Fold OLED boasts a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a response time of 0.2 ms, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and reduced blue-light emissions that TÜV Rheinland has verified.
It includes a Thunderbolt USB-C port, a 12th generation Intel i7 processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB of memory, and 1 TB of SSD storage.
ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold pricing and more
According to ASUS, the new foldable gadget will be available by the fourth quarter of the year so that sales could begin as early as October or as late as December. Prices for the Zenbook Fold OLED will start at $3,499 before taxes.
Many firms have released foldable products for the modern world, but most of these are for cellphones, and other smaller screens; tablets, desktops, and monitors hardly ever acquire the expanding screen. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series, which largely focuses on foldable devices, is one of the most notable examples.
