INDIA.Uttarakhand: In connection with the murder of Ankita Bhandari, BJP leader’s son Pulkit Arya recently got arrested and, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave orders for the demolition of the Vanatara resort in Rishikesh.
Following the murder of the hotel receptionist, Arya was found guilty and thus many of his illegitimate hotel and resort chains came to light.
Meanwhile, Abhinav Kumar, Special Principal Secretary of Dhami said, “The demolition of the resort orders for which were given by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is underway.”
The brutal murder of the teenager sparked rage among all the people and many held protests against the insane crime. However, the CM has given orders to district magistrates to get into the shoes of all the resorts of the state followed by the alleged murder.
He moreover said, “It is unfortunate. Police is working, they have done their work to make the arrests. Strictest punishment would be given for such heinous crimes, whoever be the criminal.”
The alleged suspect of the crime is the son of Vinod Arya, a BJP leader from Haridwar. The present leader was formerly the chairman of the Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board as state minister’s rank. This case is a sheer reflection of power which miserably took away an innocent teen’s life.
The victim, named Ankita Bhandari, was a 19-year-old girl working as a receptionist at Pulkit Arya’s resort in the Laxman Jhula area of Rishikesh. She went missing on September 18. According to police officials, she went with Pulkit Arya, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar, and another accused named Ankit, alias Pulkit Gupta at 8:00 pm.
Ankita was aware of the illegal things going on around the resort so, she threatened to inform the police about the process however in a fight and self-protection the three pushed the girl into the canal.
Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht said, “After the murder of the girl, I immediately said that the building should be razed to instil fear among criminals.”
Adding more to it he said, “I thank the CM who took the matter seriously and ordered action immediately against the accused. I also thank him for suspending a revenue police sub-inspector who misbehaved with the victim’s parents at the time of filing a complaint in the matter.”
