Amazon Japan Lists Google’s Pixel Tablet Specs and Colours ahead of Google I/O 2023 Event

UNITED STATES: Google’s upcoming Pixel Tablet has been making headlines ahead of its expected launch at the Google I/O 2023 event. Recently, Amazon Japan briefly listed the device, revealing its complete specifications and colour variants.

According to the listing, the Pixel Tablet will feature a 10.95-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It will be equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and run on Google’s own Tensor G2 processor. The gadget will have 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage options.

In terms of camera, the Pixel Tablet is expected to have an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP rear camera with the same aperture and an 84-degree field of view. For connectivity, the tablet may offer Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, ultrawideband support, and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

The tablet will also be equipped with a quad-speaker audio system and three microphones for calls, recording, and Google Assistant. It will come with a speaker dock, allowing it to double as an innovative home centre.

The device is expected to have a 27-watt-hour battery that can deliver up to 12 hours of performance. The Pixel Tablet will be available in two colours, porcelain and olive green, and is reportedly priced at ¥80,000 (roughly ₹48,500). According to a Reddit user, the device will go on sale on June 20.

The Pixel Tablet is just one of several expected product launches at this year’s Google I/O event. The American multinational tech company is also expected to unveil the latest version of its Android operating system, the Pixel 7a, and more. Unlike the previous three-day format, the event is scheduled for May 10 and will last for one day.
