INDIA: The power hub of talent and Bollywood’s female superstar Alia Bhatt bestowed with Smita Patil Memorial Award for Best Actor. The leading face of Tinseltown never looked back ever since its debut in 2012.
Alia is among those actors who challenged every role and performed dynamically, from doing a female-centric movie to action drama the actor never dissatisfied her fans and with the passing time she is upscaling her acting skills.
Recently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial ‘Gangubai Kathiyawari’, gained huge appreciation and Alia played the prime role.
The Raazi actor took to her Instagram handle and in her story she wrote, “Grateful and honoured to receive the Smita Patil Memorial Award. Thank you to everyone”.
On the 38th anniversary celebrations of Priyadarshini Academy, the concerned jury decided to lay the award to Alia Bhatt for her, “outstanding and critically acclaimed performance in Hindi films.”
During an ongoing event, the actor said, “I want to thank the Priyadarshni Academy for bestowing me with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for Best Actor. It’s a tremendous honour to be here today, one I’ll cherish for the years to come.”
Ali Bhatt further added, “India has the most incredible legacy of the arts, and I’m eternally grateful that our work is a part of it. Cinema teaches us the importance of believing in the beauty of dreams, to follow them with dedication and humility, and never quit.”
