JAPAN: After a gruelling recovery process, Alex Rins is poised to make a triumphant return to the MotoGP circuit at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi.

The Spanish rider sustained a broken right leg in a dramatic crash during the sprint race at the Italian Grand Prix, rendering him absent from the last seven Grand Prix weekends, including the recent Indian round.

Alex Rins’ absence left a void at LCR, with Honda tester Stefan Bradl, World Superbike rider Iker Lecuona, and Suzuka 8 Hours victor Takumi Takahashi taking turns in his seat.

Bradl, the most frequent stand-in, managed a commendable 13th-place finish at the Dutch TT in Assen during this period.

However, Lecuona was unable to secure a single point in three outings, and Takahashi faced the disappointment of failing to qualify in his sole appearance at Misano.

With Alex Rins’ return, Honda is set to field its complete MotoGP lineup for the first time since the French Grand Prix in May, a momentous occasion for the team. This reunification coincides with the return of works rider Joan Mir, who also missed a race (the Mugello round) due to an injury-related setback.

Alex Rins’ journey to recovery has been closely followed by fans and fellow racers alike, making his comeback a highly anticipated moment in the MotoGP calendar.

As the action unfolds this weekend at Motegi, all eyes will be on Alex Rins as he aims to reclaim his position among the sport’s elite riders after a hiatus of over three months.

His determination and resilience serve as a testament to the indomitable spirit of athletes in the face of adversity.
