INDIA: The upcoming Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat lands as a major historical feature holding high hopes from the audience. Since the announcement of Akshay Kumar playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Marathi movie has created a lot of buzz on social media.
Akshay Kumar unveils the first look of his Marathi debut film
Now, a new update has arrived from the makers of the Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. The upcoming Marathi feature received its first look featuring Akshay Kumar as a historic Maratha warrior. Khiladi Kumar shared the video on his Instagram handle, captioning it with, “जय भवानी, जय शिवाजी!”
Akshay Kumar also shared the picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his Twitter and Instagram handles. The actor wrote, “आज मराठी फ़िल्म ‘वेडात मराठे वीर दौड़ले सात’ की शूटिंग शुरू कर रहा हूँ जिसमें छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज जी की भूमिका कर पाना मेरे लिये सौभाग्य है।मैं उनके जीवन से प्रेरणा लेकर और माँ जिजाऊ के आशीर्वाद से मेरा पूरा प्रयास करुंगा! आशीर्वाद बनाए रखियेगा।“
The tweet translates to, “Starting the shoot of Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ today, in which I am fortunate to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ji. I will try my best to take inspiration from his life and with the blessings of Maa Jijau! Keep blessing.”
According to the tweet, the filming of Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat commences today (December 6, 2022). In addition to the beginning of the filming, highly talented Mahesh Manjrekar will be the man in the director’s chair.
Vasim Qureshi is set to bankroll the upcoming film. The historical movie will hit the big screens on Diwali 2023.
Another big announcement regarding the Marathi feature is that it will get a Pan-Indian release in Marathi, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
Besides Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, Akshay Kumar was recently seen in Abhishek Sharma’s directorial Ram Setu. Khiladi Kumar is also set to reprise the role of Raju in Hera Pheri 3.
Earlier it was announced that the actor would not be part of the film due to creative differences, and Kartik Aaryan will replace him.
As the news broke out, fans started to flood the internet with #NoAkshayNoHeraPheri, the makers now seem to sort out all the issues, and Akshay is now officially back as Raju.
