INDIA: The highly awaited movie of the year, Adipurush is about to hit the theatres in June; meanwhile, the makers dropped the spellbinding trailer. The movie features Tollywood star Prabhas as Shri Ram (Raghava) and Kirti Sanon as Mata Sita (Janaki) in lead roles.
The trailer of Adipurush gives a glimpse of the timeless saga. The high-octane action and heavy VFX made the trailer captivating. Om Raut added his directorial vision, and Bhushan Kumar bankrolled the movie under the banner of T-Series. The film is set to debut on June 16, 2023.
On June 13, 2023, Adipurush will make its international premiere at the esteemed Tribeca Festival in New York. Talking about the trailer, a special preview was arranged for fans in Hyderabad on May 8, 2023.
The event was attended by lead actors Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, besides Om Raut and co-producer Bhushan Kumar.
Soon after the screening of the trailer, Prabhas interacted with fans and said, “Jai Shri Ram! How is the trailer? How is the CG? Kriti Sanon, Bhushan Kumar, and the entire cast have agreed to debut the trailer in Hyderabad first. For Adipurush, the reception from here has always been remarkable. We’re all here to see your response, after all. Because if you like it, everyone will like it. Jai Shri Ram. Love you all.”
The new trailer opens with a narration from Lord Hanuman. The curtains uplifted with Raghav’s banishment and the abduction of Sita, with the creation of the bridge RamSetu to Lanka.
The movie is full of power-packed action sequences and intensive dialogues. It also showed Saif Ali Khan as Ravaan; however, his role in the trailer was very short.
The second half of the trailer is tightly packed with speeches and battles as Raghava empowers his army to fight by his side. The limelight of the teaser is undoubtedly the sound effect that continuously humes ‘Jai Shree Ram’.
