INDIA: Aahwahan Foundation, a Bengaluru-based NGO working with PAN India presence has taken the initiative to plant one Million trees from Kashmir to Kanyakumari by the end of 2021.

Urgent action is required to combat climate changes and their impacts. However, it can be tough and time-consuming due to global warming and the present COVID – 19 situation. Hence, it is very important to implement initiatives like ‘GO GREEN BHARAT CHALLENGE’, the existing ‘Go Green Revolution’ campaign.

Talking about the initiative Mr. Braja Kishore Pradhan said,  “We have launched this plantation drive primarily intending to rejuvenate the oxygen levels in the atmosphere. Along with that this campaign also serves the purpose of restoration of lakes and their surrounding areas. Aahwahan is asking for a minimum contribution of Rs 99 per sapling including other expenditures like transport (for volunteers, saplings, manure, and other essential material), maintenance, manure, and tools.”

“We will buy a healthy mature sapling of native species focusing on herbal and fruit plants like Amla, Mango, Plum, etc. The foundation will use the unused government and farmer’s land to complete its mission. We at Aahwahan urge everyone to plant at least one sapling near their home to make the world a better place to live.”
