INDIA. Aurangabad: Beginning with humble backgrounds, an artist at heart, but above all a human being, with a heart of gold, Suresh Joshi is a man of utter honesty, simplicity, decency, and humility.
A man whose message to humanity is simple, “Humanity is in the blood; certainly not in the mind”. In such a simple way he went on a journey to uplift the impoverished through social work and using social media platforms.
This despite his personal life’s uncertainty and insecurities. He is not born rich; lives on subsistence living, but nurtures towering ambitions to uplift his community from poverty.

Humble beginnings in Aurangabad
Hailing from an agrarian background in Aurangabad, his struggles had been about getting basic amenities like food, clothing, and shelter. He is proud to be one of those who has a fighting spirit and lives life on his own terms.
Joshi Kaka, who spoke to Transcontinental Times, said, “ please don’t ask me about my past, because it is mired in insecurities and struggle for one square meal. In 1965, I was in Standard IV, and that was the Board Exam. I couldn’t afford to buy books and clothes. Stark poverty reined me.” In spite of all these, he’s graduated from college.
But, at heart, he wanted to challenge the image of utter poverty and despondency and brought about a change in people, whom he met.
All those who met Joshi Kaka, said, “ he wanted to discover the hidden potential in me, my talents, my passions in order to live life to the fullest.”
And that is exactly what his motive has been. Of finding and nurturing supporting the human spirit and discovering their hidden potentiality in order to uplift them from poverty.
When Transcontinental Times spoke to him, one of the observations of the spokesperson was that Joshi Kaka had a high level of intellectual acumen.
He was clear about what he was trying to convey. He conveyed little, but in that little, he gave a message of humanity and a message of support and camaraderie to one and all.
Mission Arthritis India (MAI)
As a social mentor, he wants to support people suffering from Arthritis. Joshi Kaka was working with a Non-Profit Organization earlier but carried his mission single-handedly now.
A mission for the poor children and the elderly, spending his maximum time educating the rural masses of rural India. He’s attended numerous conferences of different nature as a speaker.
His towering work for an award-winning film “Hausla Aur Raste” is one big achievement
A splendid acting career sprang from this film, which won an award at the 7th Delhi Shorts’ International Film Festival in 2018.
He’s featured as an agrarian farmer, living on subsistence living, but taught his daughter to become an IAS officer thereby, bringing pride for his village and the community. His acting is par excellence and deserves an ovation.
His passion is now about the Q & A sessions on QUORA
He answers difficult questions simplistically on this platform “Quora.” Quora was begun by two FaceBook employees and now is a well-known platform to solicit answers to any query that humanity poses.
The platform’s aim is to solicit answers to questions from different communities thereby supporting the community members. He replies in his local language Marathi, helping people to get the correct response. In six months, he has received 51k impressions and 480 Q/A’s have been responded to satisfactorily.
Invitation from Google for discussing cloud sourcing due to the social media networking
He was invited by google for exchanging ideas for cloud sourcing and contributions in Marathi.
He told Transcontinental Times, “ I’ve already reached the 15th step in this crowdsourced feature. Soon, I will be exchanging ideas for Google.” He was invited to Singapore for a seminar, free of cost in Jan. 2020, but due to the pandemic, he could not make it.
The struggle continues for subsistence to better living
He is ideating to form a “Public Trust,” where each of his Twitter followers, (subject to Twitter policies) which in his case are 6400, can become a catalyst of change through meager donations, for all people who are on Twitter’s social media interactions. The trust can help support through various donations by participation to people living under the poverty level.
Astrology to people in need
“I have learned astrology and am pursuing this path,” he said. I undertake the task of giving free advice to people in need of guidance through this ancient science for career, profession, business, and several other matters.
