UNITED STATES: OnePlus users already know that OnePlus skipped the OnePlus 10 standard release in favour of the OnePlus 10 Pro in 2022.
While the OnePlus 11’s features are anticipated, it’s not yet known which models will be unveiled. According to persistent rumours, the non-Pro variant may come alongside a new Ultra model. Here is all we know so far about the OnePlus 11.
OnePlus has not provided any information regarding the release date of the 11 or 11 Pro. However, early 2023 would be a good bet given that OnePlus typically releases its flagship models in the spring and that the OnePlus 10 Pro was actually unveiled in China as early as January 2022.
The next OnePlus flagship will reportedly go on sale “at the end of the year”, according to the often trustworthy leaker Digital Chat Station(machine translated from Chinese). The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is most likely to power the phone.
This chip is anticipated to debut in November, a few weeks earlier than usual, to give Chinese phone manufacturers time to get their products on the market before the Chinese New Year shopping season in January.
So, if OnePlus sticks to this new plan, the OnePlus 11 and/or 11 Pro won’t be available outside of China until March 2023, but it could reach there as early as December 2022.
OnePlus 11 expected features
There haven’t been many specific leaks about the OnePlus 11 series up to this point, but the information is starting to surface.
These renderings, created by OnLeaks based on an “early prototype,” show some significant information. First off, the phone has the alert slider and Hasselblad logo that are present on the 10 Pro but absent on the 10T from autumn.
A brand-new camera module with a circular design that retains the wraparound functionality first seen on the 10 Pro is also visible. It should be no surprise that there are three cameras and a flash integrated.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is expected to be the next flagship chipset from Qualcomm and will power the majority of high-end Android phones in the first half of 2023, is the only internal specification we’ve heard so far. This always seemed like a safe bet.
Based on past Pro phones, a large battery with quick charging—likely 150W—a 120Hz curved AMOLED display, up to 12GB of RAM, and other features are likely to appear.
OnePlus 11 expected price
We’ll use the prior models to position ourselves in the market as OnePlus hasn’t confirmed the cost yet. The cost of the most recent flagships is as follows:
$649/£629/€699 for the OnePlus 10T
$899/£799/€899 for the OnePlus 10 Pro
$729/£629/€699 for the OnePlus 9.
OnePlus 9 Pro costs $999, £829, or €899
$649/£549/€649 for the OnePlus 8T
It is expected to have something a little less expensive, along the lines of the OnePlus 10T, but if OnePlus only chooses to offer a Pro model for the 11-series, it will likely cost around the same as the current 10 Pro.
The global chip scarcity, COVID-19 delays to production and distribution, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine are all starting to raise costs, so things might not quite work out this easily after all.
Whether we get just one 11 Pro or two phones, we’re excited to see what the next generation has in store.
