INDIA. Mumbai: Three buses were burnt to charcoal and two persons suffered severe burns when a huge fire broke out in a motor garage located at Kopregaon near Uttam Nagar in Pune late Saturday night.
The injured persons have been admitted to the Sassoon Hospital. A workshop carrying out repairs to cars, buses, and other vehicles is located at Kopregaon. It has also been undertaking the jobs of modifying buses. Usually, the vehicles in large numbers were seen lined up outside the garage.
Soon after the incident of fire was reported, the Five fire tenders of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after about two hours.
Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the mishap. However, nearly 14 vehicles are stated to have suffered heavy damage in the fire. The cause of the fire was not known.
