UNITED STATES: The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, saw a fresh opportunity to cash in on eccentric products and released a perfume called “Burnt Hair,” which he claimed earned a million dollars in just a few hours by selling 10,000 bottles.

Musk quipped on Twitter, noting the pun of his last name in the fragrance industry, “With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?”

Elon Musk altered his Twitter bio to “Perfume Salesman.” The perfume bottle costs Rs 8,400 ($100) and will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2023, according to the perfume’s website. The perfume includes “The Essence of Repugnant Desire,” according to the website, so that’s what it smells like.

It goes on to say, “Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard effort. Stand out from the crowd! Make yourself known as you move through the airport.”

Previous ideas from Musk have included a 2020 debut of Tesla’s (TSLA.O) own-brand tequila and a pair of “short shorts” to represent his win over investors who bet against the electric vehicle manufacturer, which is currently the most valuable car firm in the world.

His The Boring Company, a tunnelling business with a 2017 valuation of $5.7 billion, raised $10 million by selling flamethrowers at a price of $500 each. He also sold The Boring Company caps, which amounted to $50,000.

Musk has established Tesla, the rocket company SpaceX, and other businesses while pursuing goals that have included colonising Mars and developing a new sustainable energy system.

The billionaire made a proposal last week to move forward with his first $44 billion offer to take Twitter Inc. (TWTR.N) private in order to put an end to a lawsuit filed by the social media company that may have required him to make a payment whether he wanted to or not.

If successful, a transaction would give Musk control of one of the most important media companies and put a stop to months of legal battles that hurt Twitter’s reputation and fueled his reputation for erratic conduct.

When asked how long it intended to keep the perfume on the market, The Boring Company did not comment.

According to Musk, Bitcoin can be used to purchase this scent. “And you may pay with Doge,” he tweeted. Additionally, he claims that the perfume is “An omnigender product.”
