Deadpool 3 will mark the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Ryan Reynolds shared a video announcing the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on Twitter and multiple social media platforms. The actor tweeted, ‘’Hard keeping my mouth sewn shut about this one.’’
The video opens with Ryan Reynolds explaining why the team of Deadpool missed the D23 Expo. Till now the clip tunes in serious mode, then a bit funny line comes in, ‘’I’ve had to really search my soul on this one.” The actor also added that it’s the first appearance of the Merc with a Mouth in the MCU. But as the clip approaches its end, the unexpected happens: we get a glimpse of Hugh Jackman in the background.
Ryan asks, ‘’Hey Hugh do you want to play Wolverine one more time?” to which Hugh replies, ‘’Yeah sure Ryan.” The clip showcases a surprise and exciting expression on the Deadpool star’s face, which is exactly the situation for all fans right now. Following the conclusion scene, a song plays in the background with the lyrics, ‘’And I will always love Hugh.’’
In addition to Hugh Jackman’s return, the video reveals the Deadpool 3 logo with a Wolverine’s claw slashing a deep cut in the title forming ”III”. The clips also unveil the release date, which hints at the arrival of Merc with a Mouth on September 6, 2024.
Given Wolverine’s return in Deadpool 3, the fans’ response opened to massive excitement. One user added, ‘’RYAN THANK YOU SO MUCH, I’M SO HAPPY.” Another user added, “This can’t be true, I’m shaking!!!’’
