INDIA. Telangana: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (‘KCR’) and Union Minister Amit Shah, came together to celebrate two separate events in the state.
The Union Minister hoisted the national flag at Secunderabad’s Parade Ground to glorify ‘Hyderabad State Liberation Day’; whereas Telangana CM unfurled the National Fag, at a distance of kilometres at the Public Gardens in honour of ‘Telangana National Integration Day.’
In the midst of all, Rao fired Shah by accusing him of “doing divisive politics”, according to him the saffron party leader is are trying to harm communal harmony and spread hatred among people.
Shah deplored Rao’s statement and brushed it off by saying that he is cherishing the day for the sake of the vote bank and the “fear” of Razakars (Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen).
In the ongoing event, Amit Shah lashed at Telangana ruling Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and said, “Unfortunately, 75 years are over and those who ruled this place could not dare celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day due to vote bank politics. So many people promised during elections and agitations that they would celebrate Liberation Day. But when they came to power, due to the fear of Razakars they turned back.”
Further added, “They celebrate, but not as Hyderabad Liberation day, they still have fear. I want to tell them, remove fear from your heart and Razakars cannot take decisions for this country as it got independence 75 years ago.”
He went on to thank the Prime Minister of India for making the historic day change into Liberation day, “I would like to thank PM Narendra Modi, who dedicated this day as ‘Hyderabad Mukti Din’.”
“People here now celebrate it every year, but many still live in fear – I urge all to come out and celebrate in large numbers.” said shah.
Earlier in today’s morning, Shah kicked off his day by writing on Twitter, “Greetings to the people of Telangana, Hyderabad-Karnataka, and Marathwada region on ‘Hyderabad Liberation Day. I bow to the martyrs and the brave warriors who fought valiantly against the atrocities of Razakars under the cruel Nizam rule to merge Hyderabad into the Union of India.”
