UNITED STATES: Gamers, the wait is finally over! PlayStation State of Play is set to return today. It will debut on various social media platforms, bringing numerous announcements and updates on the upcoming games.

The previous State of Play was held on June 2, 2022, and the upcoming event will debut on September 13, 2022. It is also expected that Sony might showcase the new AAA game titles with a short glimpse or first look on its way.

State of Play will showcase new updates on the upcoming games

The official Twitter handle of PlayStation unveiled the release date of the upcoming event. The tweet read, ‘’State of Play returns tomorrow, September 13. Watch live to see new reveals and updates for PS5, PS4, and PS VR2. Tune in at 3 PM PT / 11 PM BST.’’

State of Play will arrive on September 13, 2022, which means gamers will get a chance to witness the new game title announcement today. The event will begin at 3 PM PT / 11 PM BST.

The release date and timing of State of Play in various countries:

India: September 14, 2022, at 3:30 am. 

Spain: September 14, 2022 at 12:00 am.

Japan: September 14, 2022, at 7:00 am.

Sony will stream the State of Play on multiple platforms for a wider audience reach. The event will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch (PlayStation’s official channel). The latest State of Play will unveil the new game titles arriving on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2. The upcoming event will showcase 20 minutes of reveals, additional footage, and gameplay for 10 games. 

State of Play will be held just before the Tokyo Games Show, which makes it the perfect time to start the event. God of War Ragnarok is also arriving on November 9, 2022, so it is expected that more updates will be revealed on the much-awaited game.

However, Sony will mainly highlight its third-party partners instead of first-party studios, which means very few updates on God of War will be shared with the public.
