INDIA: Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, grossed 37 crores in Hindi on Day 2 of the screening following a successful Day 1 premiere.
Along with Deepika Padukone as Jal Astra, Shah Rukh Khan also made a cameo appearance as Vanar Astra in the film. Ayan Mukerji is directing what has been one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year.
Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures all contributed to its financial support. As the first instalment of a planned trilogy set in the Astraverse, the movie is meant to serve as the start of that universe
The second-day results for “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva” stood at Rs 85, boosting the total collection to Rs 160 crores, according to production banners Star Studios and Dharma Productions.
‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ continues to provide the movie industry, theatre owners, and viewers a great deal of happiness. It has received a huge response from viewers worldwide and brought in Rs. 60 GBOC on Day 2 (Day 1 – 75 cr + Day 2 – 85 cr).
The movie is described by its producers as “a huge screen experience of all time” and a “full family entertainer” with “epic VFX for all age groups.”
Ayan Mukerji is the film’s director, and it reportedly cost over Rs 400 crore to produce. The day two collections were also posted by an overjoyed Mukerji on his official Instagram page.
The phrase “Pyaar se bada koi Brahmastra nahin hai duniya mein” (Love is the biggest Brahmastra in the world). “Thank you to all of our audiences for spreading Love and Light in Cinemas this weekend,” he added.
In “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva,” a Disco Jockey by the name of Shiva goes out on a quest to discover the source of his extraordinary abilities alongside Isha (Bhatt), a woman he falls in love with right away. Guru, Shiva’s tutor, is portrayed by Bachchan.
While the film’s plot and dialogue have drawn mixed reviews from critics, many have complimented filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s epic vision of the “Astraverse,” which combines Hindu mythology with fantasy elements and is comparable to VFX-heavy Hollywood superhero film franchises.
The movie is currently available in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
