The Bengal MLA owns food and edible oil company named Kalyani Solvex Pvt Ltd. This company has links with two other Kolkata-based channels in connection to money laundering.

The Enforcement Directorate may summon Kalyani anytime soon. This entire case is suspected to be interlaced with Partha Chatterjee’s WBSSC scam. The probe agency doubts Arpita was appointed as the director of these companies because she is presently the “suspect of the hour”

Kalyani is the appointed chairman of Trinamool’s public accounts committee. He was a BJP supporter before joining hands with the Mamta government. He defected to the Trinamool without resigning from the assembly.

The Tripura CM recently took a dig at the TMC government over Partha Chatterjee’s SSC scam by saying, “We are accustomed to seeing counting of votes but now counting of cash is taken up in a state and nobody knows when it will end. Now, everything is coming out.”

A senior Trinamool MP Saugata Roy came in support of his party chief Mamata Banerjee. He gives support to his party saying that they have no idea about the SSC scam neither the CM had a clue about it.

He said, “We had no idea that such a thing was taking place. When we came to know about it, we took action. Mamata Banerjee sacked him from the ministerial post.” He even asked if the BJP stalwart Suvendu Adhikari had any proof regarding the scam, he should have made revelations in front of the ED.

Partha Chatterjee, who has been constantly non-cooperative with the probing agency recently made a statement, “I am a victim of conspiracy”.
