INDIA. Delhi: The big fat Punjabi wedding of CM Bhagwant Mann and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur took place in Chandigarh on July 7.
This is Mann’s second marriage after the separation from his first wife, to whom he had two children, daughter Seerat Kaur and son Dilshan. The wedding witnessed the presence of various carpetbaggers like Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadha, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and many more other leaders.
Pictures of the groom surfaced on various social media platforms, where he can be seen wearing a yellow turban with ‘kalgi’ and a gold-colored kurta-pyjama while the bride opted for a red coloured dress.
AAP colleague Raghav Chadha, took to his Twitter to share the inside pictures of the wedding. In one of his posts, the groom and the bride are seen smiling at each other post-wedding lunch.
Chadha captioned his post: “Saade veer da vyah, Saanu gode gode chah”.
CM Kejriwal actively takes part as a guardian in the wedding rituals of CM Bhagwant Mann and Dr Gurpreet Kaur. The Delhi CM took to his Twitter and congratulated the couple, “Wishing Bhagwant Mann and Gurpreet Bhabhi for marriage”.
Bhagwant Mann is the first Chief Minister of the State to get married while in office, his spouse Dr Gurpreet Kaur is from Pehowa in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Tight security arrangements were in place at the Chief Minister’s home in Sector 2. The doctor bride shared a glimpse of her happy married moments, took to her Twitter, and wrote: “Din Shagna Da Chadya (the day of marriage has arrived)”.
No Indian marriage is complete without wholesome food and Mann’s marriage has enough of it. The menu consisted of Dal Makhni, Chana Masala, Karahi Paneer, Navratan Biryani, Jeera Onion Pulao, Kalonji Wale Aloo, and different continental dishes for the main course and Moong Dal Halwa, Fresh Fruit Trifle, with Ice Cream for dessert.
