When we think of India, we think of the miracle of the Indian parliament. People of many castes, creeds, and beliefs from all over the world congregate here. Isn’t it incredible that anything gets done at all?

The truth is significantly more complicated; we have bright people who, despite vast differences, manage to get things done, and MP Sunil Mendhe is one of them.

Sunil Mendhe’s transition from the business world to political participation

Every person’s journey begins in childhood and serves as a primary compass for both their professional and personal lives. The same can be said for Sunil Mendhe, who completed his civil engineering degree at an early age while growing up in the village.

Being a member of a farmer’s family meant that adversity and struggle were the best factors for him to sow on the field of prosperity.

He talks about the challenges he faced throughout his life, starting with his upbringing and finishing with his business to a political career.

He also mentions his family’s lack of financial support due to their poor financial situation.

“Being the son of a farmer was not a common occurrence there. With no one to lend a hand, it took 8 months to get a ₹40,000 loan, and I kept my land as collateral. Today, people may readily obtain loans in cores and what, so there is a significant difference in mental processes.”

“At the time, doing business was a challenging undertaking,” he added.

“I left my job at the age of 21, and no one was willing to hire me. Today, Google has made information freely available. But I have no regrets about the difficulties I experienced. The things I’ve accomplished as a result of such a battle give me a different level of satisfaction,” he asserted.

Individuals’ journeys are shaped by adjustment and comprehension while providing advice supports a successful path. Such time risk arrives at a nick of time that serves as a make-or-break moment.

Sunil Mendhe states that leaving his career and joining the firm came out of the blue to his family.

He recalls his younger days, remarking, “At that time, joining a business venture and collecting money for the same reason while belonging to a farmer’s family was a challenging job.”

“I began my voyage with a bag of rice and 50 rupees provided by my father, and I never requested financial assistance from my family after that. My cultural upbringing under RSS, which acted as a backbone, deserves full credit.”

The motivation in the political venture served as a triumphant note

A well-established business provided the perfect set of fulfillment for Sunil, where he defines his political journey as a leap from the business world. He believes that the inspiration he gained during his business career aided him much in his decision to enter politics.

Highlighting the reason behind joining politics, he reveals, “My guru, Rambhau Asawale, inspired me to enter politics. I was formerly a member of the RSS, which aided my decision to join the BJP. Except for my younger brother, no one in my family encouraged me into politics.”

MP Sunil Mendhe’s political career began with him running for Mayor with no prior political experience. His previous job impressions had a significant impact on his journey, culminating in his momentous victory.

As if his triumphant political career wasn’t enough, the party nominated him for the Member of Parliament election. His work reputation helped him acquire two lakh seats, which was a remarkable victory for him.

Spreading light on the Start-Up India scheme, Sunil Mendhe says, “The government has created such an atmosphere that this party feels whatever the country needs, the youth should come up for it.” For the first five years, the party has established itself. All industries, from mega to micro, are placed under the scheme’s gaze.”

He refers to the Indian Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari’s goal of infrastructure development during the pandemic, explaining, “The pandemic came as a pain for the working class, so the government used the vision of Gadkari Ji and Modi Ji to use the labour division on infrastructure construction with all essential precautions.”

This lowered the majority of the labour unemployment rate while also developing the infrastructure in a sideways manner, he added.

Addressing the youth, Sunil said, “When I was 18 years old, I applied for a job even before I got my results.” Since my family’s financial situation was unstable, I had no choice but to work. In 1987, I worked as a site engineer for ₹400 per month. My income was ₹650 when I left my job at the time. I just wanted to work, regardless of the pay. “

“My message to all current grads is that you should be prepared for whatever type of job that comes your way and you must do it with passion regardless of pay,” he concluded.
