INDIA. Mumbai: Al-Qaeda, the terror group (Al-Qaeda in the subcontinent), in a statement dated June 6 sent to media houses, has threatened to launch suicide attacks in Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat “fight for the honour of the Prophet.”

The statement begins with the heading, “May our brothers be bereaved of us if we fail to defend or prophet. Given the disrespect shown towards the best of creation in India”.

Responding to the recent remarks made by a few BJP leaders about the Prophet Muhammad, the terror organisation has threatened to carry out suicide strikes in various places of India.

“We shall kill those who affront our Prophet and we shall bind explosives with our bodies and the bodies of our children to blow away the ranks of those who dare to dishonour our Prophet. The saffron terrorists should now await their end in Delhi, Bombay, UP, and Gujarat,” the statement says.

The statement concludes with, “In the sight of this deplorable incident, we say to our Ummah in general to our Muslim brothers in the sub-continent who are suffering prosecution and cruelty at the hands of India, that we bring glad tidings and consolation to you in the words of Imam ibn Taimiyah( may Allah have mercy on him).”

Over 12 countries, including Malaysia, Kuwait, and Pakistan, have condemned recent remarks made by a few BJP leaders on Prophet Muhammad in the last few days. While Nupur Sharma made comments during a TV debate, another leader Naveen Jindal posted a controversial remark on Twitter.

Both were recently suspended, and the BJP issued a statement emphasizing its intolerance for disrespect of any religious personality.

In another development, Nupur Sharma has been threatened by the terrorist organization Mujahideen Gajwatul Hind. The organization has issued a press note saying that Sharma and Jindal should tender an unconditional apology to the whole world for making objectionable remarks about Muhammad. Otherwise, they should be ready to face the consequences.

Meanwhile, India has maintained that the views belong to a few fringe elements only and do not represent those of the Government of India. India also “categorically rejected” the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) statement slamming India as “unwarranted and narrow-minded.”
