INDIA: RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, has received positive resposne from fans and critics since its debut. Keeping aside the critical acclaims, the film has also conquered the box office since its release. At the worldwide box office, the film has now officially grossed Rs 1000 crore.
The Telugu version of RRR earlier rocked the box office with a first-day collection of Rs 120 crore.
The first-day collection of the film in other regional languages goes as follows:
- Tamil release: Rs 10 crore
- Hindi release: Rs 25 crore
- Kannada release: Rs 14 crore
- Malayalam release: Rs 4 crore.
The film was also released in over 75 countries worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the Middle East. As a result, the RRR’s first-day box office grosses are over Rs 240 crore.
RRR has been postponed several times owing to the pandemic, but it was finally launched on March 25, 2022. Since then, it has bagged in record-breaking box office receipts. On April 10, the film’s box office total surpassed Rs 1000 crore.
This puts the RRR over 1000 crores, joining two other films in the category. S. S. Rajamouli’s film has now entered the ranks of Amir Khan’s Dangal (2016) and Bahubali: The Conclusion (2017). Dangal grossed Rs 2024 crore, while Bahubali: The Conclusion took in Rs 1810 crore, putting RRR in third place. S. S. Rajamouli has to compete with himself for the second spot, which is a significant accomplishment for his directorial tagline.

The film has Jr NTR and Ram Charan as revolutionary Indian freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, Ajay Devgan as Venkata Rama Raju, Ray Stevenson as Governor Scott Buxton, Shriya Saran as Sarojini, Olivia Morris as Jenny, Makarand Deshpande as Peddanna, and Alia Bhatt as Sita.
