Nigeria Police Force: Adejobi Replaces Frank Mba as New Spokesman

NIGERIA. Abuja: The Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi has taken over as the Nigeria Police Force’s new spokesman, succeeding Commissioner of Police (CP) Frank Mba (NPF). 

Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Baba Alkali, announced this in a statement issued by an administrative officer of the Force Public Relations Department, Benjamin Hundeyin.

Hundeyin’s appointment, which took effect immediately, comes as the Mba is nominated for the Senior Executive course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Jos.

Prior to his appointment, Adejobi served as the spokesman for the Ogun State Police Command between 2008 and 2016, as well as the spokesman for Zone two Headquarters in Onikan between 2020 and 2021.

Adejobi, on the other hand, is a registered member of several organisations, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), the Pointman Leadership Institute (USA), the International Association of Chiefs of Police (USA), and the Institute of Corporate Administration (Nigeria).

Adejobi’s educational background

Olumuyiwa Adejobi studied Archeology and Geography at the University of Ibadan, where he also earned a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies.

According to the statement, Adejobi is a reputable communicator and image builder who has demonstrated in his duties.

“CSP Olumuyiwa is an experienced communicator and image manager who has made significant progress in previous positions. He is a member of several professional bodies and associations, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), the Pointman Leadership Institute in the United States, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in the United States, and the Institute of Corporate Administration in Nigeria,” according to the statement.
