POLAND: Poland commemorated the 103rd National Independence Day jointly with the Day of Respect for the Uniform. Minister of Defense instead that the Polish Army has to be seen through the transcendency of the uniforms and proprietary equipment used by soldiers.
In his address to the people, Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense, thanked the military units and soldiers from all over the country for their service. The Minister encouraged citizens to remember that security risks change, the Polish army remains true to its purpose and values, and added that the Pole will resist manipulation and will do everything possible to contain conflicts under the current border problems.
On the eve of the holiday, on November 10, a special exhibition “Polish soldiers’ uniforms – respect for the uniform” was opened in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
The head of the Ministry of National Defense inaugurated the exposition with Marshal of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek. In her speech, Witek added that “Freedom was won with the blood of thousands of Polish soldiers, therefore the uniform must be venerated.”

Celebrations on the November 11
Celebrations with the participation of soldiers will also take place tomorrow in many Polish towns. Dozens of radio stations organize competitions concerning the Polish Army.
The Museum of the University of Warsaw is also involved in the preparation of the festival. In the halls and inter-alia, an exhibition will be devoted to students of the University of Warsaw from the years 1918-1921. The exhibition of the Military Historical Bureau – Documentation of the Saxon Palace 1923-1933 will also be presented in the rooms of the University of Warsaw.
On November 11, after the main celebrations at noon before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Piłsudski Square in Warsaw), a concert of patriotic songs performed by the Representative Artistic Group of the Polish Army is planned. As part of the “Niepodległa do Hymnu” campaign, the nation will sing the anthem together. The stage for children in the courtyard of the Academy of Fine Arts will host entire families. 103 military units all over the country will celebrate with citizens from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m.
