The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) had earlier supplied the first batch of six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft from the United States in July.

The Air Force has announced in 2020 that Nigeria Air fighters were already in the U.S receiving additional training on the usage and applications of the fighter Jets before it will be later added to the operations of Air Fighters.

This aircraft is expected to help combat terrorism and other forms of anxiety in the north-east and other parts of Nigeria.

After extensive discussions with the U.S. government, President Muhammadu Buhari  said, buying would not only help strengthen Nigeria’s national security, but also help to end the Boko Haram conflict in a timely manner.

The President said in a letter to Congress that the Nigerian government had sent $469.4 million to the U.S. government for purchase.

The Efficiency Of The New Aircraft

“The introduction of Super Tucano will be a decisive moment to combat all forms of terrorism in Nigeria, if the military’s human capabilities are combined with new fighters, Nigeria will soon exceed safety,” Harrigian said.

“Importantly, the platform itself brings a multitude of capabilities and this is not just about weapons, it is about intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, it is about that operability that it provides between the air component and the ground component., Harrigian added.

Therefore, there is a widespread of common understanding that can work in different areas. And there are different areas to promote partnership. I think it’s a good opportunity to work together on a full package, Harrigian said.

According to Fortune Business Insights, The global aircraft sensors market size is projected to reach USD 2.57 billion by 2027, exhibiting a CAGR of 12.05% during the forecast period.

 Improvement

“Take this opportunity to expand the realm of common values  and areas that we are going to ultimately improve security instability and work together in all operations”, said Harrigian.
