INDIA: South Africa defeated New Zealand by a big margin of 190 runs in 35.3 overs. South Africa reached 357/4 after 50 overs thanks to centuries from Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen. On the last ball of the innings, Aiden Markram scored a huge six, and David Miller made sure the side had a strong finish.

Devon Conway was dismissed by Marco Jansen in the third over of their chase, dealing New Zealand a setback from the off. For the second wicket, Van der Dussen and De Kock scored 200 runs off of 189 balls.
New Zealand managed only 167 runs in 35.3 overs thanks to a four-wicket haul from spinner Keshav Maharaj and three wickets from pacer Jansen. De Kock became the third batter to reach four hundreds in a World Cup after Rohit Sharma and Kumar Sangakkara, hitting 114 off 116. Van der Dussen hit his sixth hundred in one-day cricket, hitting 133 off 118 balls before getting out. Miller and Klaasen took over the final over, with Markram’s six securing an already-winning total.
New Zealand won the toss and bowled first, replacing Lockie Ferguson with Tim Southee. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada took Tabraiz Shamsi’s position. Trent Boult bowled out Bavuma in the ninth over. New Zealand’s injury woes worsened when star pacer Matt Henry left the game.
South Africa’s victory over the Kiwis has given them the confidence to secure a spot in the top four, making them one of the most dangerous teams in the World Cup. With the highest net run rate (NRR) out of the 10 countries, their batting lineup is strong, with Heinrich Klaasen providing the finishing touches and Quinton de Kock turning in hundreds. Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen lead the way in their strong bowling performances.
New Zealand has lost three games against Australia, South Africa, and India due to a list of niggles. The Black Caps, who had a few wins before facing the Proteas, will face intense competition in their remaining group-stage matches, with Rachin Ravindra’s century nearly enabling them to reach a 389 target against the Australians.
