INDIA: Following the release of the first single “Hua Main”, the makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal dropped the second single “Satranga”. Much like its name, the song visualises the different shades of love between Ranbir and Rashmika Mandanna in this Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film.

Arijit Singh has provided his melodious voice to the song in his much-awaited team-up with Vanga and Kapoor. With Siddharth Garima’s lyrics, Arijit has breathed life into the latest released music.

Where “Hua Main” showcased the blooming romance between Ranbir and Rashmika, “Satranga” narrates a tale beyond that where both have been married and had two kids. The music video also shows both performing Karwa Chauth, with Rashmika in a fabulous red kurta and Ranbir in an all-black outfit.

However, their marriage appears to be going through some rough phases, and maybe Ranbir donning the boots of a gangster is the reason for this. The video ends with Ranbir saying, “Geetanjali, I don’t know if I will come back or not. But if I don’t come back, don’t marry again.” This dialogue seems to hint at the moment before the climax of Animal, which points to the popular internet theory where it is speculated that Ranbir’s character will die in the end.

Keeping aside the visual narration, “Satranga” has the charm to grab a rent-free place in music enthusiasts’ playlists. Back in August, when Vanga released a video explaining the delay of Animal due to its song, it seems he was doing his homework with music directors. Given the release of both singles, the filmmaker, along with his music team, has done a phenomenal job of adding a soulful melody to the upcoming violent featurette.

In addition to Hindi, the latest Animal song is released in Telugu as “Ney Veyrey”, Tamil as “Pogaadhe”, Kannada as “Naa Bere Nee Bere” and Malayalam as “Nee Vere Njan”.
