INDIA: In the tenth ODI of the current World Cup 2023, played on Thursday in Lucknow, South Africa defeated Australia by 134 runs. Australia, which had been given a target of 313 runs, was bowled out for 177 in 40.5 overs thanks to a three-wicket haul from Kagiso Rabada.

Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj both claimed two wickets during this time. With a score of 46 runs off 74 balls, Marnus Labuschange led all scorers for Australia.

Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first against South Africa. Josh Inglis replaced Alex Carey in the Australian starting XI after being dropped. In the meantime, Cameron Green was replaced by Marcus Stoinis, who made his eagerly anticipated comeback.

Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock gave South Africa a fiery start as both amassed 100 runs for the first wicket in the first 18 overs. De Kock, the opening batsman for South Africa, scored his second half-century against Australia in a World Cup match.

South Africa scored 311/7 in 50 overs for their first-inning total because of Quinton de Kock’s ferocious performance. Before being bowled by Maxwell in the 35th over, De Kock scored 109 runs off 106 balls, including eight fours and five sixes. De Kock scored his second consecutive ton in this World Cup.

Aiden Markram once again scored a valuable knock of 56 off just 44 balls. Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, and Marco Jansen made vital contributions to end the innings in a way they wanted to. Captain Bavuma also made a vital contribution of 35, along with Van Der Dussen, who also scored 26 runs.

Australia looked pretty much out of the game from the start of the second inning. Facing a formidable bowling attack from the Proteas, no Aussie batsmen could score a half-century. The top scorers were Marnus Labuschagne with 46 and Mitchell Starc with 27.

Maxwell and Starc both took two wickets each. The Australians had a good bowling lineup but were unable to stop the mighty South Africans from registering back-to-back wins.
