The illicit firecracker factory blasts that have happened in the state were also attributed by the chief minister to some individuals engaging in “illegal activities.” This, according to her, was being done “with support from a few police officers”.

The BJP’s third term in office could lead to an autocratic government in the country, potentially causing the Lok Sabha elections in December 2023, she added.

The saffron party’s influence has already divided society, and regaining power could transform the nation into a nation of hatred, she further stated.

Banerjee claimed that the BJP had booked choppers for Lok Sabha campaigning, preventing other parties from using them.

The chief minister announced that she had ended Bengal’s three-decade CPI(M) dominance and would now defeat the saffron party in the Lok Sabha elections.

Attacking ABVP and BJP members who shouted “goli maro” at Jadavpur University, Banerjee claimed she had told the police to detain individuals responsible for the hate speech.

She urged those who were chanting such slogans to remember that they were in Bengal and not Uttar Pradesh.
