INDIA: My Hero Academia is set to arrive on Cartoon Network India! Ever since the regional dub release of Naruto on Sony YAY! last year, it has been a race among the anime giants to capture the Indian market. Now, My Hero Academia (MHA) is gearing up for its Indian debut, and it has arrived with a new exciting update.
Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia has been the favourite of Otakus since its inception. The anime also has a decent fanbase in India, thanks to its superhero-based theme. Given its regional language debut in India, it appears that the fandom of this Shonen series will “Go beyond plus ultra”.
Following Dragon Ball Super’s release, Cartoon Network India has embarked on a new mission to introduce the journey of a Quirkless teen, Izuku Midoriya/Deku, to the Indian audience. After godly-powered Saiyans capture the TV screens, fans await some superhero showdown with MHA’s release.
My Hero Academia in Indian regional languages
Cartoon Network India made the official announcement via their Instagram handle. The caption read, “Cartoon Network’s newest superheroes are coming to town soon! Each of them have their quirks and superpowers! Excited to see it?”
The anime will be airing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam from September 10, 2023. Fans can watch new episodes every Sunday at 1 PM IST. Given that Season 1 consists of thirteen episodes, the show can span up to a successive run.
A few days ago, My Hero Academia also bagged a dubbed promo video. In the clip, we get a glimpse of Season 1, revealing the Hindi voice of Izuku Midoriya.
As of now, in India, MHA is available on Crunchyroll in sub and English dub, while Netflix also provides complete six seasons but only in Japanese.
Besides My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen is also available to watch in Indian regional languages. Crunchyroll released the anime in Hindi and Tamil. The streaming giant also dubbed Chainsaw Man in Hindi along with Demon Slayer Season 2, Ranking of Kings, and many more.
