‘Neeyat’ Trailer to Debut on June 22: Vidya Balan to Star as “Not-so-classic” Detective

INDIA: The power hub of talent, Vidya Balan, who turned heads with her courageous out-of-the-box roles, is gearing up for her much-awaited theatrical release, Neeyat.

The makers shared a series of photos and gave a sneak peek into the world of mystery. They showcased a short glimpse alongside 11 posters of the movie’s lead characters. Besides this, we also got an introductory glimpse of Vidya Balan’s character, Detective Mira Rao, and the 10 suspects. The film will hit theatres on July 7, 2023.

The posters allured hype amongst the audience, and moviegoers are wondering how a film is made full of suspense and thriller.

Vidya Balan is making a comeback to the big screen after a very long time. Today the multi-talented actor took to her Instagram and shared the interesting teaser from her upcoming movie Neeyat.

She wrote, “A world of mysteries and motives will be revealed. Stay tuned… #Neeyat releases on July 7, only in theatres.” The announcment clip opens with, “Suspects are arriving; motives are forming; get ready, folks; a mystery is coming.”

The dark-themed teaser also portrays Vidya Balan as a detective in the murder mystery. This is Balan’s second take as a detective after Bobby Jasoos; however, the actor always did justice to mystery roles like Kahaani and many others.

Anu Menon added her directorial vision to the movie and Prime Video along with Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment bankrolled the project. This mystery film also marks Balan’s second collaboration with Menon after Shakuntala Devi.

The classic whodunnit has been written by Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani. The dialogues are written by Kausar Munir. The movie will show Vidya investigating a mysterious murder at a billionaire’s party, where every suspense is kept under wraps.
