ITALY: Ducati, the renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has taken the world of sportbikes to new heights with the introduction of the Panigale V4 R.

Building upon the incredible performance of the Panigale V4 S, this exclusive and street-legal machine sets a new benchmark for power and speed.

The Panigale V4 R is the product of Ducati’s collaboration with its WorldSBK initiatives, creating a homologation special designed to deliver an unmatched riding experience.

With its 2023 iteration, this monstrous motorcycle generates a jaw-dropping 218 horsepower at 15,500 rpm.

However, Ducati has pushed the limits by raising the maximum revs to 16,500 rpm in 6th gear, aiming to achieve higher top speeds on the track’s straight sections.

Equipped with a new racing exhaust system and specially formulated fuel developed by Shell, the upgraded Panigale V4 R boasts an extraordinary peak power output of 240.5 horsepower.

Ducati’s pursuit of performance has led to the addition of cutting-edge features in the Panigale V4 R.

Ducati has used gun-drilled titanium connecting rods and DLC-coated pistons, commonly found in MotoGP machines and Formula 1 race cars, to enhance power and reduce weight.

In addition, a new piston geometry with reduced inertia further contributes to the bike’s exceptional performance.

Ducati has introduced new engine modes alongside the existing package to provide more control and versatility to the riders.

The Full mode unleashes the full power of the V4 R, allowing riders to experience its maximum performance potential.

On the other hand, the low mode limits the power output to 160 horsepower, providing a more relaxed and manageable riding experience, particularly suitable for road use.

The 2023 Panigale V4 R incorporates several other notable enhancements. Ducati has refined its Quick Shift system to enable smoother shifts during partial and full-throttle applications.

The trusted Ohlins suspension remains, but the NPX25/30 pressurized fork now offers an increased travel of five millimetres, resulting in improved overall suspension performance.

To enhance agility, Ducati has raised the swingarm pivot position, increasing the rear height by 20 millimetres. Moreover, riders can enjoy longer journeys without interruption, thanks to the larger 17-litre fuel tank.

Recently launched in the Malaysian market, the 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R will captivate sportbike enthusiasts with its unparalleled power and performance.

This extraordinary machine is ready to conquer the challenging corners of the Sepang International Circuit, one of Asia’s premier FIM circuits.

However, this level of engineering excellence comes with a price. With a staggering price tag of RM 458,900 (approximately $100,000), the Panigale V4 R is a dream come true for those with deep pockets seeking the ultimate sportbike experience.
