UNITED STATES: Following Bruce Willis’ recent announcement of his retirement from acting, Arnold Schwarzenegger conveyed some kind words about his good friend.

The family of the 68-year-old actor, known for Die Hard and The Sixth Sense, declared last year that he was “stepping away” from his decades-long movie-making career after being given an aphasia diagnosis.

In a letter to Bruce’s supporters, the actor’s family briefed them that their loved one had been attempting to deal with health issues and had recently been diagnosed as having aphasia, which was affecting his cognitive performance.

They also added, “As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

While discussing his new Netflix series FUBAR, Arnold Schwarzenegger stated that Willis is outstanding. Arnold went on to say that Bruce was a great, huge star for years and years. Bruce will be remembered as a “great, great star”, according to the Terminator actor.

Arnold also added, “And a kind man. I understand that under his circumstances, health-wise, he had to retire. But in general, you know, we never really retire. Action heroes, they reload.”

In 1991, the two legendary stars of the silver screen started working together after years of acquaintanceship. The two appeared together in the popular film The Expendables in 2010.

Willis’ family wrote a heartfelt letter to his fans in February 2022, informing them that the actor had to surrender acting because his condition had “impacted his cognitive abilities.”
