UNITED STATES: As the match started, in the first quarter, Anthony Davis was the one to open the scoreline with a double-double for the Lakers. This continued for the Lakers as Austin Reaves opened his scoreline for the day.
With just minutes left before the first half, Rui Hachimura was fouled and went on to the free throw line to convert both shots.
Moses Moody scored for the Warriors with a double to cut the deficit. At the end of the first half, the Lakers were one point ahead of the Warriors with 22 points.
As the second quarter kicked in, Stephen Curry scored a double-double to open the proceedings for the visiting team in the second half.
Later on, Draymond Green, with his floater, added two more points for the Warriors. At the halfway point, LeBron James made a three-pointer for the Lakers from the corner to cheer up the crowd.
Later, Draymond Green scored a double to tie the game at 38 points each. Just minutes to end the second quarter, Curry, with a floater, got three within, and Kevon Looney got two more down for the Warriors. At halftime, the Warriors were 3 points ahead of the Lakers, 52-49.
Gary Payton II started the proceedings for the third quarter with two points for the Warriors. LeBron James scored a double-double to take his match tally to 16 points. Gary Payton II again scored a three-pointer to increase the deficit to seven points.
Andrew Wiggins could only manage to add two more for the Warriors. James once again scored a double-double to decrease the advantage.
In the last minutes of the third quarter, Steph Curry scored a double-double to give the Warriors a 6-point advantage. At this stage, the Warriors were again ahead of the Lakers, with a seven-point lead standing at 84-77.
Lonnie Walker IV, from outside the box, attempted a three-pointer to start off the last-quarter comeback. Walker IV again drove to the basket to add two more for the home team. A brilliant pass from Curry to Moody added two more points for the visiting team.
The Lakers’ Austin Reaves added two more points with an elevated shot. With just three minutes remaining in the last quarter, Klay Thompson scored a three-pointer to increase the lead.
James moved on to reduce the deficit and give the Lakers a 3-point lead at 99-102. Curry missed a 3-pointer in the closing stages after being fouled by Reaves.
Walker IV scored on both shots to increase the lead for the Lakers to 101-104. The Lakers held their nerve and went on to win the match.
The Lakers came back from a 12-point hole to lead the series 3-1. Lonnie Walker IV scored 15 points in the fourth quarter. LeBron, Davis, and Reaves all scored more than 20 points.
