INDIA. Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the live broadcast of the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program “Mann Ki Baat” in the presence of BJP workers at Vile Parle in North Mumbai on Sunday.
The BJP Mumbai unit had made arrangements for the live broadcast of the episode of PM Modi’s monthly radio episode at 5000 places across 36 assembly constituencies in the city and suburbs.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were among those who attended the live broadcast.
Besides, BJP MP Poonam Mahajan, BJP Mumbai President MLA Ashish Shelar, BJP MLA Parag Alwani and others attended the program. A large number of people had gathered at Keshavrao Ghaisas Hall at M L Dahanukar College in Vile Parle.
“Through Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi crafts messages that venture into the nooks and corners of the nation, building bridges between the people and the government,” Amit Shah later tweeted.
“Today is the historic day. I had the privilege of witnessing the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat with the people of Kandivali, Maharashtra,” Goyal tweeted.
The program has reached nearly 100 crore people and has over 23 crore regular listeners. The 96 per cent of people in our country are aware of this program. The 100th episode was broadcast even at UN headquarters on Sunday, BJP MLA Ashish Shelar claimed.
The program has handled many campaigns like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, and “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”. The program is a devotion; by now, it is a public movement, Modi said on the occasion of the 100th episode.
Elsewhere in the city, at a program organized by BJP Corporator Atul Shah, a huge cake was cut at Maulana Azad Road and surrounding areas in South Mumbai to mark the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat on Sunday.
The program was first broadcast on October 03, 2014. Thereafter the episode is broadcast on the last Sunday of every Month. It is recorded and then re-broadcasted by All India Radio.
