INDIA: The much-awaited film Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, has been making buzz for some time. Increasing the level of excitement, the makers are dropping new teasers very frequently.
Director Raaj Shaandilyaa and producer Ekta Kapoor have once again reunited for its sequel, and now they have announced a new release date. Fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming film, which had earlier made them laugh harder. But the new release date has made fans disheartened.
Previously, the film was scheduled to release on 7th July 2023, but as per the new statement, the fun time movie will hit the theatres on 25th August 2023.
Ayushmann Khurrana revealed the new release date on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Pachees badi hai mast mast, kyunki @pooja___dreamgirl aa rahi hai on 25 August (in hindi). #PoojaKiKissOnAug25 #DreamGirl2 releasing in theaters on 25th August, 2023.”
The makers on the official handle wrote, “Mere priya Aashiqon, Chaar saal baad aapke Dil Ka Telephone phir se ring ring hoga. Ab iske liye taiyaari bhi toh shaandaar, dhamakedaar aur smoochiebhari honi chahiye na? Toh karo thoda aur intezaar; And keep sending lots of pyaar! Ab #7KoSaathMein nahin, Pooja ki kiss on August Pachees! Dream Girl 2 releasing in theatres on 25th August 2023. -Aapki pyaari Pooja.”
It translates to, “My dear lovers, after four years, the telephone of your heart will ring again. Now the preparation for this should also be spectacular, bang and smoochy, shouldn’t it? So wait a little longer. Keep sending lots of love! Now not together on #7, Pooja’s kiss on August 25th! Dream Girl 2 will release in theatres on 25 August 2023. – Your lovely Pooja.”
As per reports, The extensive VFX work needed for the project caused the delay. The VFX work used in the Dream Girl 2 film requires a lot of work. The makers want the cinephiles to enjoy their hearts out in the 2 hours of the movie, leaving no scope for negligence.
In 2019, Ayushmann Khurrana’s highest-earning film was Dream Girl, grossing Rs 142.26 crore in India. The perfect comic timings and storyline made it a super hit movie.
