Cricketer MS Dhoni Enters the Film Industry with Debut Production ‘Let’s Get Married’

INDIA: MS Dhoni, the former Indian cricket team captain, is all set to make his debut as a film producer with his upcoming Tamil film, ‘LGM’ (Let’s Get Married). The first-look poster for the film was recently unveiled, and it has already created a buzz on the internet.

The poster features actors Harish Kalyan, Ivana, and Nadiya locked in wedding rings, which suggests that the film will revolve around the emotional struggles that a couple goes through in the process of getting married. The film is being helmed by director Ramesh Thamilmani, who has previously directed films like ‘Manal Naharam’ and ‘Agarathi.’

Apart from Harish Kalyan, Ivana, and Nadiya, the film also stars Yogi Babu and RJ Vijay in lead roles. Yogi Babu is a popular comedian in the Tamil film industry, while RJ Vijay is a well-known radio jockey.

The film is being produced by MS Dhoni’s production house, ‘Dhoni Entertainment,’ which he co-owns with his wife Sakshi. The production house has previously produced small-scale films like ‘Roar of the Lion,’ ‘Blaze to Glory,’ and ‘The Hidden Hindu.’

‘Roar of the Lion’ is a documentary series that chronicles the return of the Chennai Super Kings to the Indian Premier League (IPL) after a two-year suspension, while ‘Blaze to Glory’ is a film based on the historic World Cup victory of the Indian cricket team in 2011. ‘The Hidden Hindu’ is a mythological thriller based on a story by writer Akshat Gupta.

MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. He has been one of India’s most successful captains. MS Dhoni led the Indian cricket team to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He also captained the Chennai Super Kings to four IPL titles.

Dhoni is known for his calm and composed demeanour on the field, and he is often called Captain Cool’ by his fans. He retired from international cricket in August 2020, but he continues to play in the IPL for the Chennai Super Kings.
