ITALY: The Mercedes-AMG One has again proven its dominance on the track by setting a new lap record at the iconic Monza circuit in Italy.

The hypercar, which already holds records at the Nürburgring, Red Bull Ring, and Hockenheim, completed a lap of the famous Italian circuit in just 1 minute and 43.902 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG factory driver Maro René Engel completed the record-breaking lap, driving the Mercedes-AMG One in road-legal specification with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R MO tyres engineered specifically for the AMG One.

According to AMG, the One improved the previous lap record by a mind-boggling 12 seconds, with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS clocking in at 1 minute and 55.30 seconds.

The Mercedes-AMG One’s intricate 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine and four electric motors produce a combined 1,048 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful and technologically advanced cars on the market.

While the Aston Martin Valkyrie may have a shot at dethroning the AMG One, the British automaker has yet to attempt to set new track records.

Despite the One’s impressive performance, Mercedes-AMG has yet to release footage of the record-breaking lap.

Nevertheless, the achievement solidifies the car’s position as one of the fastest and most capable production cars.

The Mercedes-AMG One is a feat of engineering and a testament to the brand’s commitment to performance and innovation.

With its impressive track record, the hypercar will continue making headlines and setting new benchmarks for years.

The AMG One is a limited-edition hypercar, and its exclusive list of customers expects it to be delivered this year.

The car is a showcase of Mercedes-AMG’s cutting-edge technology and its Formula One know-how.

The AMG One features an eight-speed automatic transmission, an advanced suspension system, and a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis that’s both lightweight and rigid.

The hypercar’s aerodynamics are also state-of-the-art, with active aerodynamic flaps and a massive rear wing that can adjust its angle to optimise downforce.

The AMG One also has a top speed of over 217 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
