SPAIN: In a highly exciting match between Dreux (DRX) and Farmers (FAR) at the Cartama Oval in Spain, the Farmers put up a dominant display with the bat to post a massive total of 160/3, and DRX were unable to chase down the target, resulting in the victory of FAR.

The Dreux skipper, Mohammad Nisar, won the toss and elected to field first, hoping to restrict the FAR to a manageable total. However, the FAR started off aggressively, scoring 35 runs in just the first 2 overs and completing their fifty in just 2.4 overs.

Joel Dudley was the chief architect of their impressive start, scoring a quickfire 39 off just 14 balls. Nicolaj Damagaard also played a supporting role with his 20 runs.

The Dreux bowlers, Usman Khan and Tabish Bhatti, applied the brakes by removing Dudley and Damagaard, respectively, but the Farmers continued to score at a brisk pace.

Dreux innings

In response, Dreux started off on the wrong foot, losing their in-form batsman, Ahmad Nabi, in just the second over. However, skipper Mohammad Nisar and Muhammad Rafah then started building a partnership and scored runs very quickly, adding 74 runs in just 5 overs.

Rafah played an explosive inning of 34 runs off just 10 balls, while Tabish Bhatti made the game interesting with his 13-ball 31 runs. Despite their valiant efforts, Dreux fell short of the target by 12 runs, with the Farmers emerging victorious in the end.

It was a very good fight from Dreux, but the Farmers’ dominant display with the bat proved to be too much to overcome. Overall, it was an entertaining ECL T10 match that showcased some brilliant cricketing skills from both teams.

The Farmers’ aggressive start and explosive batting display proved to be the difference in the end, but Dreux deserves credit for their spirited fightback.
