INDIA: Popular Kannada star Rishab Shetty bagged the ‘Most Promising Actor’ award for his directorial film Kantara. He bestowed the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival award.
Kantara continues to bag high praise, be it critical or on a mass level. The addition of this prestigious title to Rishab Shetty’s filmography doubles the excitement of cinephiles. Given Rishab’s performance in the climactic scene, he was already worthy of the prestigious award.
Rishab Shetty pens a heartfelt note
On the special occasion, Rishab Shetty penned a heartfelt note thanking everyone for all the love and support. Additionally, he remembered his dear friend and colleague, Puneeth Rajkumar.
The Bell Bottom actor wrote, “Honored to add feathers to this cap. I cannot express my gratitude for bestowing the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award upon me. I am grateful to Hombale films and Vijay Kiragandur Sir for trusting me and giving me an opportunity.”
“I cannot wait to make more and better films together. I dedicate this award to our Daiva Nartakaru, People of Karnataka, Power star Puneeth Rajkumar and Legendary Bhagavan Sir,” he added.
The actor counted the support made by his wife and the whole team and thus wrote, “This would have been impossible without our Kantara team and technicians who supported this small dream of mine, and the pillar of my life Pragathi Shetty.”
