INDIA: Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 took place yesterday (February 20). Alia Bhatt, Rekha, Varun Dhawan, Rishab Shetty, Ronit Roy, Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri, Shreyas Talpade, R Balki made their presence count at the prestigious award ceremony.
The most cherished award function facilitated Alia Bhatt with the Best Actress award for playing the role of Gangubai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Interestingly, actor Ranbir Kapoor has been bestowed the best actor award for ‘Bhramastra’. However, the actor wasn’t present at the star-studded event. Thus, wifey Alia received the award on behalf of his husband.

The actor-turned-producer recently embraced motherhood and is currently on a maternity break. But, she is proactive in her social media handles and often interacts with the media post her workout sessions.
The gorgeous Diva donned a white embroidered saree with a loose sleeves blouse. She complemented the look with minimal accessories and dewy makeup.
Following the release of the blockbuster movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, the actress matched the movie’s theme and kept the audience in the same mood. She prefers mainly wearing white sarees.
Apart from this, Varun Dhawan won the Critic’s Best Actor award for ‘Bhediya’. Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ was honoured with the Best Film award.
Anupam Kher received the award of Most Versatile Actor of the Year for the same movie. Not to forget, the most successful film of last year, SS Rajamouli’s RRR, yet again bagged another award in Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards.
Talking about Alia Bhatt’s professional commitments post her maternity leave. She will resume the shooting of her much-awaited romantic drama ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.
Next, she will kick start her shooting for the upcoming Farhan Akhtar directorial ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
