INDIA: The much-awaited wedding of Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul is officially completed. The duo exchanged vows for a lifetime at Suniel Shetty’s luxurious Khandala farmhouse. The wedding took place around 4 p.m. today, after days of preparation and manifestations.
KL Rahul ties knot with girlfriend Athiya Shetty
The high-profile wedding happened in the presence of close family members and friends; keeping it low-key, the couple didn’t invite many guests and also restricted the use of mobile phones. As per the update, the couple was outside their residence for the media photographs.
The marriage happened in a traditional Mangalorean style. Members of both families marked their presence. Apart from this, KL Rahul’s friends, cricketers Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron, and Athiya’s friends, Diana Penty, Anshula Kapoor, and Krishna Shroff, were the prime guests for the wedding ceremony.
Lately, Ajay Devgn shared a picture of Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, with her boyfriend turned husband, KL Rahul. Ajay bestowed blessings on the newlyweds and made a special mention of his anna, Suniel Shetty.
The Drishyam 2 actor wrote, “Congratulations to my dear friends @SunielVShetty and #ManaShetty for their daughter @theathiyashetty’s marriage to @klrahul. Here’s wishing the young couple a blissful married life. And, Anna, here’s a special shout-out to you on this auspicious occasion. Love. Ajay.”
Bollywood heartthrob Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan Shetty greeted the media, distributed sweets and food packets, and said that he would like to be a father to KL and not a father-in-law.
The entire Jahaan Mansion is decked out with fairy lights and flower decorations, catching all eyes. Fans are eagerly holding their breath to get a glimpse of their favourite couple, who just got married.
KL Rahul and Athiya made their relationship official last year, and since then, fans have been waiting eagerly to witness their big day.
