INDIA: Happy Birthday Deepika Padukone! On a special day, the makers of the highly anticipated Pan-Indian film Project K (working title) unveiled a new poster. The brand-new poster features the Bollywood star in a completely unique look.
In addition to Deepika’s poster, the makers earlier released multiple key visuals celebrating the Birthday of Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Recently, the production house also shared a short video on social media that provided a brief glimpse into the vision of Project K.
Project K bags a new poster featuring Deepika Padukone
Vyjayanthi Movies’ official Twitter handle unveiled the poster. The prominent production house wrote, “Here’s wishing our @deepikapadukone a very Happy Birthday. #ProjectK #HBDDeepikaPadukone.”
The Project K poster showcases Deepika Padukone in an intense standing posture on a rocky surface. What appears as a highlight of the key visual is the actor’s attire which gives a futuristic and post-apocalyptic vibe. Some Twitter users also compared her look with Dune’s character Chani (Zendaya).
However, the makers have kept Deepika’s proper look in a mystery as the image hides her face with the shadow. Her short hair is visible if we look closely, which means Project K appears to bring a never-before-seen role of the actor.
The background of the poster offers a lot of hidden details in a symbolic manner. We can see Sun behind her, and the poster also reads, “A HOPE IN THE DARK”, hinting her character might play a vital role in Prabhas’ character arc.
For the unknown, Project K is in production process under the directorial vision of Nag Ashwin. The film appears to explore the sci-fi genre starring Prabahs, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone (marking her Telugu debut) in the lead.
According to multiple media reports, the sci-fi feature is also set to star Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan, Tamil superstar Suriya and Telugu king of comedy Brahmanandam Reddy in lead roles. Disha Patani will also appear in a prominent role.
Vyjayanthi Movies, one of the biggest production houses of Telugu cinema, bankrolled Project K. The release date of the Telugu sci-fi feature is yet to be finalized.
