UNITED STATES: The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 is now available for purchase, and like other GPUs manufactured under the GeForce brand, it is aimed mainly at gamers.

However, professionals looking for the best graphics card for their needs might be interested in this graphics card due to its raw power and Nvidia’s Studio drivers, which include features and tweaks to improve performance with creative applications.

For gamers, the new GPU does not give good value for its money. The lack of value for money is partly because, despite its undeniable power, its $1,199 launch price is exceptionally high for a gaming GPU.

The RTX 4080 is an incredible 71% more costly than the RTX 3080 GPU, which it aims to replace.

The RTX 4080’s larger sibling may be its biggest challenge: the RTX-4090 At $1,599 in the US, the RTX 4090 is more costly, yet not overwhelmingly.

The Founders Edition RTX 4090 is less expensive than some third-party RTX 4080 models.

This closeness in cost presents a predicament; Although performance is comparable, prices are not.

Therefore, putting a little more time and effort into saving for the RTX 4090 is worthwhile if you want to spend a lot of money on a GPU.

However, it is also important to note that Nvidia may reduce the price of the RTX 4080 as early as 2023, according to rumours. The rumour suggests that RTX 4080 sales have not been stellar, and a price cut could change that.

Under normal circumstances, an early price cut so soon after launch is not even remotely possible.

Additionally, the RTX 4070 Ti may be a rebadged version of the RTX 4080 12GB, a less powerful version of the 4080 that Nvidia ended up “unlaunching” after a loud protest.

According to rumours, the RTX 4070 Ti will go on sale for less money than the advertised price of the RTX 4080 12GB. To make up for this, Nvidia may lower the price of the regular RTX 4080.

Nvidia’s most cutting-edge technology comes along with the RTX 4080 and the 4090, which cost more.

For rasterised graphics, it has 9,728 CUDA Cores and 304 fourth-generation Tensor Cores for AI and DLSS.

The RTX 4080 now has 16GB of GDDR6X memory, making it a powerful performer for heavy-duty creative tasks like editing ultra-high-resolution video or rendering intricate 3D scenes.

As per Nvidia, the RTX 4080 offers two times the presentation of the RTX 3080 Ti for a similar send-off cost and utilises 10% less power.

Those who intend to use their personal computers for prolonged high-intensity tasks will significantly reduce power consumption.
